What brought you to Baltimore?
I am a born and raised Baltimorean. I grew up in Baltimore County, went to the University of New Hampshire for college, and moved to Texas for a short time. After that, my husband and I moved back to Baltimore. I have started two businesses in Baltimore: Gundalow Gourmet and Gundalow Juice. Now, my husband and I live in SoBo with our two dogs.
What’s your connection to Baltimore?
I was lucky enough to be in the first cohort of the 10,000 Small Businesses program for Baltimore. It was incredibly life-changing.
What do you like about Baltimore?
Baltimore is a great city for small business owners; the community is amazing, and we really have such caring people here. People want to lift each other up; that doesn’t happen everywhere! Baltimore will give you a chance, and if you fall, there will be plenty of people to help pick you back up. Baltimore is full of talented people; everyone deserves an opportunity to show their talents!
New Baltimoreans should definitely check out:
10,000 Small Businesses (10KSB): From the people I have met, to the opportunities that have been presented to me, to understanding our city better through other small business owners, it’s been an amazing and life-changing experience for me.
